Road design - Školní street in Horka nad Moravou

The aim of the master´s thesis is the design of a transport solution for the surroundings and inner block of Školní street in Horka nad Moravou. Školní Street is a purpose-built road that passes through the courtyard and leads to the garages. There are no integrated sidewalks between the apartment buildings that would connect to each other and would be barrier-free, and there is no paved area intended for the placement of containers. There is also an insufficient capacity of parking spaces in the addressed area. The project will address the connection of the purpose-built road of Školní Street to the local road of Školní Street. This diploma thesis should therefore bring possible variants of solutions, with the help of which it will be possible not only to eliminate these shortcomings.

Revitalization of the Padělky housing estate in Ždánice

The main point of this diploma thesis is revitalization of housing estate called Padělky in Ždánice. The housing estate is located in the northwestern part of the village. There are nine roads in zone 30. Two of them were already repaired in the first stage. The housing estate is without a transport solution and without the possibility of legal parking. Now the roads are devastated, there are potholes, holes and cracks. Six roads were reconstructed, two were extended. This brought the possibility of detours and improved transport. The new design legalizes the parking space. There are new built parking spaces, too. Conditions for the inhabitants of the housing estate are improving. There are new trees, bushes, rosary, furniture and waste bins. The public lighting will be replaced.

Spiritual brownfield Olomouc - Zlín

The assignment of this diploma thesis is the proposal of the Christian sacral centre as an extension of a current site of pilgrimage. Site is situated near Napajedelská brána by Zlin. Proposal is based on previous analysis of the regions of Valašsko and Haná. One of the most serious problems is a lack of spiritual and liturgical sites in the area of Zlín. The analysis and synthesis preceding this diploma thesis are enclosed. The analysis of sites of pilgrimage in the area of Zlín was one of the studied subjects. The assignment of the diploma thesis was created using a combination of discovered data – design of the site of pilgrimage including a church and spiritual centre. This thesis deals with the design of a church as a site of pilgrimage, facilities, accomodation for clergymen and pilgrims. The composition is based on three main objects – church, entrance house and accomodation. The composition is complemented by campanile and „baptistery“. An object itself has two above-ground floors and basement with spa. Some of the spaces in the building have to be functionally separated due to different approach of visitors. Part of the building is a garden which is ideologically and functionally inspired by monastery claustrum.

Architectural study of the sacral object Brno - Live /Líšeň/

The topic of this diploma thesis is design processing of a new sacral building in Brno-Líšeň district. It is a plot in the middle of a panel building between the health centre building and the building of the Salesian Youth Center, so-called Salesko. The Salesian community, which will use the building the most, has been waiting for the realization of this building for many years. The key theme is the creation of spaces enabling people to meet for worship, celebrations and social events. The design is processed by two interconnected operations - the building of the Church of the Descent of the Holy Spirit and the building of clergy house. The basic composition consists of three cubic masses - the entrance, the main liturgical space and the clergy house. The bell tower is the height dominant feature which indicates the sacral function of the building. The project consists a set of buildings with two above-ground floors and a basement in the entrance part of the church. This project also mentions the solution of open spaces around the plot and their conversion into quality public areas, marginally. The sacral space is to become a place that welcomes and takes in its visitors and gives them the feeling of safety. Inside this building, people will find peace, support and undestarstanding, so they may leave with the feeling of being a better person.

Presentation of exhibitions in state chateaux in Eastern Bohemia after Second Word War

The period after Second Word started the changes in many areas in Bohemia. The new era also affected castles and chateaux, whose onwer became the state. Their next progression was decided by Nacional Cultural Commission. This institution selected sights to be conserved as museums but many of them were chosen for use by schools, children's homes or as hotels. The topic of this thesis is post-war presentation at monuments in Eastern Bohemia. These are the castles of Náchod, Ratibořice, Opočno and Slatiňany which are not far from each other. Their post-war progression was very different. The thesis will focus on the history of these monuments, the firts years after war, the work of Nacional Cultura Commission, the sorting of equipment, the form of the first exhibitons, the introductory historical exhibitions, guide texts ane the presentation of installations from 1990 to the present. The bachelor thesis is focused on designing a solution for a seating element of the street furniture. Although the assignment does not define an exact location of the designed street furniture, the proposal of own solution of the bachelor thesis takes into consideration the location nearby cycle routes and walkways. The bachelor thesis includes theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part contains a basic overview of the materials, construction joints, requirements of making the street furniture and does not omit research of the products on the domestic and foreign market. The practical part is focused on the own solution. It contains a design of own solution of the street furniture with visualization, technical documentation, and economical evaluation.

Návrh apartmánu pro zámek Horní Hrad

The goal of this thesis is design of an apartment for chateau Horní hrad. The thesis solves the brief history of chateau Hauenstein with help of archival sources, the process to find an inspiration in current production as well as in historical production and it solves the furnishing of the apartment itself with help of professional companies. It managed to design a stylistically pure interior which evokes a chateau saloon of the era of the nineteenth and the twentieth century. The thesis could be helpful for people who are interested in history of chateau Horní hrad as well as for lovers of an old styled furniture and design beginners.

Author: Bc. Alexandra Rashkevich Title of thesis: Design of street furniture. A place to study in the open air. Keywords: city, park, street furniture, study, ergonomics, design. The content of this thesis is the design of a piece of street furniture. The starting point of the proposal is the theoretical part, which contains basic information about street furniture. An important part of the theoretical part of this thesis is the study of educational opportunities. Methods of attachment, materials and ergonomics are described in the next chapter. Before designing the product is necessary to research a market of street furniture, which includes an analysis of contemporary street furniture on the Czech and foreign market. In the design part is described the product design process, which is completed with sketches and visualizations. The final design is presented by 3D visualizations and technical drawings, which will serve as a basis for prototype production. Furthermore, was producer a 1:1 scale model and the product name was invented. The diploma thesis contains photos of the production process and photos of the final product.
